Make Millions….THE SECRET

I read a book recently by two famous authors – Robert Allen and Mark V.Hansen, where their one of their goals in writing the book was to create 1,000,000 ( 1 million) millionaires.

Their reason for having such a goal is a good one – one of the things that they say is – it is very difficult for a poor man to help another poor man become wealthy…only a rich man can ( I am paraphrasing here – so any errors are mine only). So their goal is to create responsible millionaires who will make their money responsibily (ie not illegally) and plough those riches back to help others. They calculated that these 1,000,000 millionaires can help a whole lotta of people on this planet improve their lifes. “No matter your present circumstances, the first step to making your first million is the commitment to become a millionaire” – this is a quote taken off their website.

How many of us aspire to be millionaires? I suppose what most of us want is to be financially free – and yet how do we go about it? Do a lot of us think that the JOB we have will somehow become a gold mine? I read an interesting definition of a JOB – Just Over Broke. i got to admit i was once like that – believing that if i worked hard, performed well in my work – the company would reward me for my efforts. Well, that was until there was this Asian financial crisis and the company despite everything – decided to let me go. Since that day,  i lost faith in any company – did my best but didnt think that ANY company in the world…would place me first!

So thats when i decided to think differently. Anyway, in the last year – I have been privileged to have so much insight into the world of wealth. It all started with the online business i started to do. The guys there, young, informed – opened a whole new world of information up for a lot of us. They held seminars, training sessions, bought and read books – allowing us to read the books as well. So i had the privilege to meet people who thought the same – a JOB doesnt give you riches, you will need to find MULTIPLE streams of income for riches.

Then a momentous thing happened - I got to watch The SECRET (http://www.thesecret.tv) and WOW, that was the start of everything. Soon after that, I was given a copy of The One Minute Millionaire and lastly an incredible book – one written 90+ years ago…The Science of Getting Rich – now that is a seriously mindblowing book..especially if you have seen The Secret – and to imagine someone wrote it 90 yrs ago. Hmm..i digress..

Anyway, the gist of The One Minute Millionaire is that you should look at all opportunities – do not say you had no opportunities if you let opportunities PASS you by…. Anyway, they go on to look at 4 ways – real estate, internet…hmm..i cant seem to remember the other two…but I suppose i can relate to these two most. My apologies!

So this path of riches…where is it going to take me? I truly believe that the edu bizness i am in will start me on my journey to my millions….it has been an incredible 2 weeks since they had a relaunch of the business….500 new business partners in 29 different countries ….incredible.  Well, not so incredible – seeing that the guys at The Humanitarian Entreprise worked so damn hard. Providing Opportunity..

How does life become so complicated? Do we make it so? What happens when life is made easy? Do we appreciate it? Lots of questions..i guess but that is what happens, sometimes when things are made easier, not everyone appreciates it. I bet there is resistance to any new thing, any new way to do something…..i guess people are just afraid of change. That must be what it is ..change makes people nervous..not knowing how it will affect them.

People embrace change when they see with their own eyes what they get out of it…i suppose it is the WIIFM syndrome….(Whats In It For Me). But what happens if change is WICDFY..(What I Can Do For You)

I guess in the weeks i have writing this blog, (except on the one occassion) my purpose is WICDFY…providing information, providing motivation..and now to provide an opportunity. The Secret (http://whatisthesecret.tv) says the more you help someone – with one proviso – dont expect anything in return, the more you will gain from life. I believe that honestly. Anyway, i hope i can help. Even one person makes a difference – that you helped that one person. The only question for me..is who is that person?

I have had many interactions with people in my life – working and personal, some that i have tried to help but one way or the other, it never turned out the way I intended. My Superstars – The Secret will provide

What a cutie! Now that is one of my superstars – thats my little baby Carina – 2 yrs and 3 months and she rules the roost. The older sisters adore her and are sometimes terrified of her (hahaha…she bites! literally). Her intelligence is incredible – sure she gets it from me, she knows how to turn the PC on, open and close the disc tray ..hmm maybe thats what little children are good at…opening and closing disc trays and then jamming them…and can you scold them…when they ask “disc no closing? spoilt? why?”…with angelic face.

It wasnt so easy at one time, not knowing how things would turn out – but now i know everything was meant to happen and good times and good things are coming. I believe that The Secret came at the right moment in my life – at a time where i was uncertain, getting bits and pieces of good luck and then a whole load of nothing.

Actually, I want to emphasise or rather explain something – you know that feeling of “deja vu” that we sometimes get, actually it is The Secret at work. The Law of Attraction states whatever you think about, it will appear.
So now i am thinking about what i want in life, how much money we want, what kind of house we are going to live in, the car(s) i am going to drive..anyway, the first thing is we are going to go to Hong Kong for the coming school holidays. Said and thought that I need RM100K in account and an extra RM10K for a trip to HKong and it looks like it is going to be a reality..soon.
Well, as i have been reminded endlessly by my good friend arla, the cupcake temptrezz herself, keep your writing short…and anything else long..actually she didnt say the last bit..but i would imagine her saying that.

Thoughts become things…THE SECRET

Today, we went house hunting or rather the children & the wifey went for a car ride and I went to see the house which i am going to live in. The children liked different things in different houses – one had a nice double decker bed and yet another had a chair with a burger cushion, another had a beautiful butterfly hanging chains…(well, not sure if thats the way to describe it).
I couldnt decide between two choices and maybe thats what is preventing me from getting the house…the road block in my mind – or the choice i want.
One of the most important thing that i learnt from “THE SECRET” is that you should be grateful for what we have ..the good things we have and we should think about what we want. Imagine that…just think of what you want..and it comes to you. Truly, it happens, I kid you not!
A few months ago, the future was looking bleak with no or only one avenue to earn some money…but now, I have my hands full with all the opportunities coming my way. I think of what I want for me and mine, irrespective of what anyone else wants, and slowly but surely it comes to me. The money isnt in the account yet, but it is not a question of “if” only a question of “when”…that i am certain.
I hope some of you had the oportunity to see Oprah on Feb 8th and watch some of the ‘teachers’ of The Secret talking about The Secret. I should be so lucky, in Malaysia – who knows when the show will be on.

I have an opportunity that is waiting to blast off in the arena of money making but that can wait…another day..another story.

Opportunities – did you CATCH it?

Today was supposed to be a GREAT day but it turned to be an okay day. We had a “golden” opportunity lined up but with the advent of modern technology, our meeting was cancelled because the person was involved in an overseas conference call. A few years ago…he would have been there waiting for us. Didnt think much of it – thought it might have been a blessing in disguise.

Then looking at a local newspaper – i glanced at my daily horoscope – just for the fun of it. One door of opportunity closes and another opens – well my day turned out like that. The golden meeting didnt take place but two other opportunities were presented. I read a biography once – of a rich and famous man whose name escapes me now, ” Opportunities don’t pass you by, just that you didnt catch it“. Now that is a really profound statement and slowly it dawned on me – everyday there are thousands of opportunities being presented to us – but if we dont see it or dont catch it, it would just pass you by.

Imagine this, everything that is in existence was an opportunity – lets take a chair for example – people were probably sitting on the floor and someone watching the scene would have thought, ‘there must be a better way to sit in one place than on the floor’, so he or she would have imagined and created it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chair#History_of_the_chair

Can you imagine this …I googled “opportunities” and what do u get  – 309,000,000 websites with the word “opportunities” in it. Thats a lot of opportunities!

Sometimes opportunities present themselves and you dont see it as an opportunity …and sometimes opportunities are given and you have to nurture the opportunity ..believe in the fact that the opportunity will pay off and in abundance ..not all opportunities are presented on a silver platter…i suppose that this is based on my personal experience ….one of the business i am in is something like that….i believe that it will pay off in abundance ….because I Believe…anyway, it is being nurtured at this moment…and it will be fruitful….well, another story another day….

An Incredible Thing…..and Luck

Wow, I found something incredible and really mindblowing while looking thru the admin section of the WordPress website…13 people (unknown people) had read my blog. To each and every one of you, thank you. Now i could write 13 thank yous but that would be silly anyway to all you who are the first readers of my blog a HEARTFELT thanks….you made my day, my week, my start to the Year of the Boar…well thats in another 12 days.

I have asked some of my friends – mostly online to comment on my blog – some say nice to read,interesting – but my good friend arla…the temptrezz herself said – too wordy, no pictures…maybe i get her to contribute pictures of her cupcakes – and guys these are real cupcakes, with flour, egg etc ..not anything else. And arla bakes a mean cupcake….!

Anyway, i shall keep the blog short from now on. Some of my friends have been going thru a rough patch and i understand how the feel as things weren’t always so rosy in its outlook. Mistakes .. and solutions

My apologies, it seems that i had added the links to the websites i talked about incorrectly…forgive my learning curve – it will be steep. Found out the mistakes when i wanted to show the children the dinosaurs – the funny thing is that the two little babies ( ie my smallest princesses and her cousin brother – they are 1 month apart and have just celebrated their 2 yr old birthdays) are scared as they hear the websites being loaded up …as the sounds on the websites make it seem as the dinosaur is going to leap out of the screen and bite them! But they are brave and still want to see the ‘thynosore’ as my baby calls ..albeit from the supposedly safe haven behind my back.

There is sometimes no turning back in what we do…my eldest had a school test and didnt do too well…the Malaysian school system being what it is – crappy, biased and an absolute shambles – she got moved to another class. The parents were not told that the test would determine which class the children would be put in, and it was only for one subject – the national language – not for the other subjects – Maths, English and Science – now how absurd and biased is that. The teachers that are being produced to nurture the future generations of the citizens of Malaysia are a sorry bunch themselves – poor in language skills, vindicitive to students whose parents complain, bad administrators, dont accept criticisms – just look at the Education Ministry itself – not even ONE (Yes , 1) email for any parent to write to make a complaint or a comment – and yet the place where social and racial integration starts first.Some of  their rules and  regulations on the website are from 1969..now how relevant are rules made 38 years ago to the children now or to situations then….i mean did anyone in those days…even dream or know about the computer…a phone that you can take anywhere…..the internet….no way! www.moe.gov.my/ 

What a mistake it is ..it was…and what would the cost and consequences …maybe for years and generations to come …and what can be done….it seems nothing! Well, am going to the PTA meeting, next week and see what is said, probably hold my peace – with clenched jaw – why should my little girl suffer the vindictiveness of her teachers because of the idealist thoughts and wishes of her father.

This cannot be the solution or the answer to how my children are educated – there are a few and they all require different degrees of commitment, of sacrifice..some are more expensive – which parent wasnt willing to spend whatever it takes to educate their child but the downside is that you might end up with a child whose is socially a snob or even believes that money goes on trees or in a ATM!…the other, some are more practical but requires more time – homestudy – the solution is available – online and award winning – and being currently used but what of the social interactive skills of the child….would she able to communicate confidently with her peers. Or the other solution would be to persevere in this flawed education system but with lots of inputs of other knowledge and avenues of learning. This may be difficult to stomach ..we’ll see.

But there will be a solution..and it comes when you put your mind and your thoughts to it. I found that out when i discovered The Secret..whatisthesecret.tv and i am glad to note that it will be on Oprah on Feb 8th..where more people in the world would get to know “The Secret”. Even though it says it is a secret…but this is something that is to be shared with all of humanity..for only 1 reason..to make things better on earth. The thing is not everyone will believe which is a really a shame…i should know…my queen (as in the wifey) believes that i am too much of a dreamer..not seeing reality as it should be looked at ..only goodness to all mankind will come when we all believe in The Secret - thats what i believe.

Traditional and the Bizarre….(Will It Blend?)

Today, I attended the baptism of a little girl – Lara, daughter of a close family friend. The baptism was carried out by the church vicar with the little baby only having the urge to cry when she had holy water poured on her to signify the baptism.For some reason, i wondered whether Lara would turn out and become like her famous action heroine namesake – Lady Lara Croft.The ladies came dressed in all their traditional finery, good food was served after the ceremony for breakfast and i had the enviable job to cut bananas from the bunch and arrange the single bananas on a glass serving dish – me, who was once – a long time ago – a GM of an American casual dining chain (Clue:the day after Thursday) was feeling the pressure! Would my arrangement be noteworthy or would no one take my banana!

Glad to say, it all went well without a hitch. I am sure that pictures of her baptism are being sent to loved ones far and wide at this very minute and arriving at its intended destination at the blink of an eye…the power of the internet.
Anyway, to baby Lara – there is a whole world of opportunity and i wish her well and good fortune as I guess in her time, man would probably be on Mars or one of our other sister planets.

And now to the truly bizarre – this definetly has got to be one piece of equipment that future planet travellers must take on their journey. Bet Captain Kirk would have this on the bridge of the Federation Starship Enterprise – and it is the Blentec blender – blend anything and i seriously mean anything ……dont believe me – check the video out on the website.

As i progress in my journey thru technology’s highways, I will try and share my experiences and sometimes make a plea for help ..depending on my predicament – and this one is “How does a person learn how to use Adobe Illustrator“. Have been trying to design a new business card but getting nowhere – cant even change the font colour – I guess i have the solution – the website that provides all the answers to learning something – even their tagline is “Learn Something New” – just that i am lazy to use it, although i have found it educational and definetly helpful …how did i find this webiste – well, thats a another story ..another day.

Not even a blip! The Secret will make it possible

Well, my first day as a blogger passed by without a ripple in the internet ocean..but it made me proud!
Anyway the story continues…
I guessed that the whole business of the internet became a huge thing for me when i read a BBC article on the spread of the internet…it was estimated that 11 websites are being added every minute onto the Net..and that was in July 2006, who knows what is happening now….what with all the Chinese coming online! Then the phenomenon of “The Secret” ..wow! what a revelation. For those not in the know – http://whatisthesecret.tv - i suppose some people say it is the Greatest Viral Marketing exercise ever done.
It really changes your perception, your thinking and how life is going to be…if you think it. I would recommend anyone to see the video…drop me a line and i will gladly send you the link ..opps..i think you can get that from the link i gave above.
Every day is a GREAT Day now….not so good days are classed as Okay days..never a bad day because thats what i think.

The crazy thing is that my princesses (I have 3 girls – ages 6,5 and 2) are becoming so used to the internet – they have their games – barbie, pollypocket and winx club – it saves me money and keeps them occupied for many hours…..but they are also learning…they learn about dinosaurs…it is so fascinating..you can see the whole array of dinosaur ..the older girls want to become palaentologists when they grow up..dont know what bones they are going to dig up..but it is fascinating to be able to visit the Natural History Museum – http://www.nhm.ac.uk/kids-only/index.html or visit the Smithsonian – http://www.mnh.si.edu/ and all from the comfort of our home in sunny Malaysia…..though i promised them i would take them to the actual museum one day…The Secret will make that possible..anyway, there i go rambling away
The budding palaentologists are also getting an education from the internet…ah..but thats another story another day….
